eBay Feedback Forum
All dealers recognize the importance of customer word of mouth and how powerfully it can affect your reputation. What you may not realize is that buyers talk quite a bit to one another in the eBay Feedback Forum.
eBay Motors buyers are encouraged to view your Feedback Profile. The higher your score, the more bids and higher prices you can expect.
Feedback on Sellers
To rate the level of each seller's customer service, eBay offers a Feedback Forum, which allows buyers to comment on the quality of their experiences throughout the bidding and purchasing process. The cumulative comments are then used to generate a score, which is similar to most CSI rating systems used by dealerships. A high (positive) Feedback Score is critical to your success on eBay Motors.
Next to any eBay member's user ID, you'll notice a number – a Feedback Rating in parentheses. This number indicates the amount of times that the member has received positive feedback. For example: "Skippy (125)" means eBay member, Skippy, has received positive feedback for 125 eBay transactions.
At the completion of any transaction, you can leave feedback for your trading partner that is positive, negative, or neutral.
Feedback on Buyers
As an eBay seller, you can also use the Feedback system to "qualify" potential buyers by examining how they've behaved in previous eBay transactions with other sellers. Viewing each potential buyer's Feedback can answer questions about how that person does business.
